Job summary

VHB, a Boston-area engineering firm, seeks a Senior Billing Analyst to own complex billing and accounts receivable for major projects. This role supports the financial success of client relationships and project performance.

You will advise Project Managers and Finance leaders, resolve escalated billing issues, and turn receivables data into meaningful insights to drive cash flow and accuracy. The hybrid role is based in MA with offices in Boston, Springfield, Watertown or Worcester, and offers

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Management, or related field.
4+ years of billing or accounts receivable experience in a professional services or project-based environment.
Experience with ERP/accounting systems, Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and finalize complex client invoices in line with contracts and deadlines.
Manage a portfolio of project accounts, including billing revisions and escalation handling.
Analyze aging, identify dispute categories, and support collections and cash-flow impact.
Collaborate with Project Managers to develop invoicing and collection strategies.
Maintain accurate project financial records and supporting documentation.
