Job summary
Harness is seeking an AppSec Sales Engineer in San Francisco to bridge sales and engineering, articulating the AI-Native DevSecOps platform to executive, business, and technical audiences. You will lead technical evaluations, deliver demos, and ensure customer success in adopting security products.
The role requires pre-sales SaaS experience in DevSecOps or cybersecurity, hands-on API/SCA/DAST knowledge, and willingness to travel.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Pre‑Sales Engineer supporting SaaS/software sales in the DevSecOps or cybersecurity domain.
- Hands-on experience with modern application security practices and tools (e.g., API Security, AI Security, SAST, DAST, SCA).
- Ability to convey complex customer security requirements to Engineering.
- Willingness to travel for customer engagements and trade shows.
Responsibilities
- Deliver world-class platform presentations and demos focused on Application Security Testing and Runtime Protection.
- Evangelize the benefits of the Harness AI‑Native DevSecOps platform, including AppSec and API/AI Security capabilities (SCA, SAST, DAST, runtime protection).
- Connect business security risks to technical solutions within the end-to-end DevSecOps pipeline.
- Drive complex technical engagements (workshops, POVs) to prove Harness’s value in securing the SDLC from code to operation.
