Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn estimating for collision repair. You will work with an Estimator to diagnose damage, prepare accurate estimates, and communicate value to customers in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will build rapport with customers, map damage, manage repair planning, and update clients on progress. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service experience.
• 16 I-CAR units within first 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4–6 years related work experience; photo-imaging software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at repair drop-off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer and identify WOW opportunities.
• Prepare estimates using Repair Planning Template and CCC One.
• Notify production and manage the repair queue; verify tear-down.
• Review and finalize estimate; ensure windshield notations are correct.
• Update customers regularly on estimates and promise dates.
• Assist insurance adjusters and inspectors as needed.
