Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an engineer to transform incomplete business needs into production-ready software. This hands-on, client-facing role will collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and design end-to-end AI-enabled solutions.

You will work across client delivery, product development, and rapid proofs of concept, with a focus on iterating toward effective AI applications for government clients.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience building apps that integrate large language models and AI capabilities.
• Experience integrating AI with APIs, data handling, and user-facing features.
• Familiar with Python, TypeScript, or SQL and API integration.
• Ability to conduct requirements conversations with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate undefined business needs into production-quality software.
• Participate in requirements discussions with business stakeholders to understand workflow and outcomes.
• Contribute to solution design with alternative approaches to simplify AI usage.
• Build end-to-end applications integrating AI, prompts, and APIs.
• Create evaluation sets, measure results, and report findings including non-supporting results.
• Investigate failures and implement fixes; support client demos and proofs-of-concept.
