Job summary

GWS Tool Group seeks an Applications Specialist for Solid Round and Insert Cutting Tools to manage accounts and generate new opportunities. The role involves understanding customers’ needs in metalworking, educating customers, prospects, and distributors on GWS Tool Group products and capabilities.

The position emphasizes schedule-driven field visits, in-person presentations, and collaboration with distributors to maximize revenue while staying current with product launches and service offerings.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of tooling/manufacturing experience.
• Ability to assist customers with processing parts and correct tool applications.
• Strong manufacturing background with milling, turning, grooving experience.
• Account management for current customers; develop new customers preferred.
• Degree in sales/marketing considered highly favorable.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and review customer applications and product requirements.
• Conduct sales presentations in person with customers daily.
• Coordinate pricing, service, and product releases with customers.
• Develop prospect accounts through distributor partnerships to increase revenue.
• Update customers on product modifications, changes and enhancements.
