Job summary

GWS Tool Group in Boston is seeking an Applications Specialist for Solid Round and Insert Cutting Tools to manage accounts and generate new opportunities. The role requires deep tooling knowledge and the ability to educate customers, prospects, and distributors on products and capabilities.

Responsibilities include planning sales presentations, coordinating with distributors on pricing and launches, and developing new accounts.

Qualifications

5-8 years of tooling and manufacturing experience.
Strong milling, turning, grooving knowledge (min 5 years).
Experience designing special tools is highly regarded.
Experience processing customer parts from drawing to finished product.
Account management for current customers is preferred.
Proven ability to develop new customers is ideal.
Degree in sales/marketing is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Schedule appointments and meet customers to review applications and product requirements.
Plan and conduct sales presentations with customers daily.
Liaise between company and customers for pricing, service, and product launches.
Develop prospect accounts by partnering with distributors to increase revenue.
Keep customers updated on product modifications, changes and enhancements.
Attend conferences and trade shows to promote products.
Provide quotes with inside sales support and manage customer data.
Follow up leads with complete profile information and dates.
