Job summary

GWS Tool Group in Eastern Michigan is seeking an Applications Specialist for Solid Round and Insert Cutting Tools. The role focuses on account management and generating new opportunities by understanding customers' metalworking needs and educating customers, prospects, and distributors about products and capabilities.

You will communicate customer requirements back to the GWS Tool Group team and help with pricing, service, and product launches.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years strong manufacturing background with a focus in Milling, Turning, Grooving.
• Knowledgeable in tooling and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to assist customers with processing parts and correct application of tools.
• Job shop experience is highly regarded
• Experience designing special tools is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and review customer applications and product requirements to determine opportunities.
• Conduct sales presentations by meeting customers daily.
• Liaise between the company and customers for pricing, service, and product launches.
• Generate and develop prospect accounts to increase revenue with distributors.
• Update customers on product modifications, changes and enhancements.
• Attend conferences and trade shows to maximize sales.
• Provide product quotes with inside sales support as needed.
• Prepare reports for sales and marketing and manage expenses.
