Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an Appian Business Analyst to partner with Appian product teams and potentially engage customers to gather requirements for Appian applications.

You will define MVPs, run discovery sessions, author user stories with acceptance criteria, and collaborate across teams to shape the product roadmap. This remote role may require East Coast hours and security clearance if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in performing business analysis and refining requirements for information systems.
• Strong communication at all levels of an organization (written and verbal).
• Detail oriented with experience working on several products at one time.
• Experience with use cases, Agile user stories, and process modeling.
• This position is remote with ability to work east coast hours as needed.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required federal government security clearance if needed. US citizenship required for clearance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Appian product teams to gather requirements for Appian applications.
• Define MVPs and release plans with Product Dev Managers.
• Conduct discovery workshops with customer stakeholders.
• Create and refine user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with architecture to define new or enhanced requirements.
• Prioritize features to align with product roadmap.
• Deliver and maintain user engagement analytics.
• Prepare sprint plans and estimates for the backlog.
• Review and accept completed user stories.
• Identify and manage risks; escalate when needed.
• Design complex data models based on requirements.
• Use Jira, TFS, and Github for project management.
