Job summary

Groundswell is hiring an Appian Business Analyst to partner with Appian product teams and potentially engage customers to gather requirements for Appian applications.

You will define MVPs, discover requirements, model data, and help design processes and interfaces. You will author user stories with acceptance criteria and collaborate with product managers to shape the roadmap, all while coordinating with development teams in a remote East Coast-friendly setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in performing business analysis and refining requirements for information systems.
• Strong communication at all levels of an organization (written and verbal).
• Detail oriented with experience working on several products at one time.
• Experience with use cases, Agile user stories, and process modeling.
• US citizenship required for federal government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Appian product teams to generate requirements and MVP for applications.
• Conduct requirement discovery, data modeling, process improvement/reengineering, and design UX/data interfaces.
• Conduct discovery workshops with stakeholders to collect and document requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers and architects to define new/enhanced requirements and roadmaps.
• Assist in prioritizing feature enablers within the product roadmap.
• Create user stories with acceptance criteria for developers and QA.
• Refine requirements based on stakeholder feedback and sprint demos.
• Prepare sprint estimates and support sprint planning.
• Identify risks and opportunities for process improvement.
