Job summary

Lumen seeks an API Technology Architect to be a customer‑facing specialist within the SWAT team. You will drive API strategy, discovery, and integration design, translating business needs into secure, reusable API solutions while supporting field teams and stakeholders.

You will lead workshops, provide guidance on API patterns, authentication, and provisioning, and collaborate across product lines to ensure cohesive automation journeys for customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 10+ years in technical pre‑sales, solution architecture, API/integration architecture, or related.
• Strong written, verbal, and facilitation skills to communicate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with customers and account teams to understand objectives and automation goals.
• Architect and document customer integration patterns, API dependencies, and security considerations.
• Collaborate with Technology Architects to align API/automation strategies across products.
• Deliver API enablement resources, design guides, and sample workflows for field teams.
• Support Technical Sellers with complex API knowledge and multi‑product opportunities.
