Job summary

Lumen is seeking an API Technology Architect on the SWAT team to help customers and Technical Sellers leverage Lumen APIs for automating service ordering, provisioning, and integration with customer systems. This customer‑facing role combines hands‑on API architecture with enablement and documentation responsibilities.

You will lead API discovery, design integration patterns, troubleshoot complex scenarios, and translate business needs into secure, reusable API solutions while collaborating with

Qualifications

10+ years in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, API or integration architecture.
Experience leading technical discovery and translating customer requirements into clear designs.
Strong knowledge of API authentication concepts, including OAuth 2.0 and secure handling of secrets.
Ability to translate business requirements into secure, reusable API designs.

Responsibilities

Lead API architecture and customer integration efforts.
Collaborate with Technology Architects across portfolios.
Engage customers in workshops, architecture discussions, and demonstrations.
Develop API enablement resources and training for Technical Sellers and teams.
