Job summary

Lumen’s SWAT team seeks an API Technology Architect to drive customer API integration and automation. This role combines hands-on API architecture with technical seller enablement, documentation, training, and field support to deliver secure, reusable API-driven solutions.

You will lead API-focused discovery, guide integration designs, troubleshoot complex scenarios, and translate business requirements into scalable API architectures for diverse customers and partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years in API/integration architecture or pre-sales.
Experience translating requirements into API designs.
Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and secure secrets handling.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to lead multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

Lead API discovery and integration design with customers.
Document integration patterns and security considerations.
Collaborate with multi-product teams to align strategies.
Deliver API enablement training to Technical Sellers.
Support field teams with advanced API guidance.
Develop reusable API architecture assets.
