Job summary

Lumen is seeking an API Technology Architect to act as a customer‑facing technical specialist on the SWAT team. You will drive API architecture, integration patterns, and technical enablement across multiple product lines while advising Technical Sellers and translating business needs into secure, scalable API solutions.

You will lead discovery, design integration patterns, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve API usability, documentation, and field support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering/IS/Telecommunications or related field.
• 10+ years in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, API or integration architecture, software or platform consulting, or network engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead API-focused discovery with customers and account teams.
• Architect and document customer integration patterns including API dependencies and authentication.
• Collaborate with technologies Architects to align API strategies across products.
• Conduct workshops, architecture discussions, and technical demonstrations.
• Develop API enablement resources and design guides for internal teams.
