Job summary
Lumen is seeking an API Technology Architect to lead API discovery, integration design, and enablement within the SWAT team. This role combines hands-on API architecture with seller enablement, documentation, training, field support, and product advocacy.
The successful candidate will guide complex API-driven solutions, translate business needs into secure designs, and collaborate across product and technical teams to drive API adoption and customer success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/engineering or related field.
- 10+ years in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, API or integration.
- Experience translating business requirements into API designs.
- Knowledge of API authentication/authorization (OAuth 2.0).
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with customers and account teams.
- Architect and document integration patterns.
- Collaborate with technology architects on cross-product requirements.
- Lead workshops and troubleshooting sessions.
- Create API enablement resources and training materials.
- Deliver architecture workshops and education sessions.
