Job summary

Lumen’s SWAT team seeks an API Technology Architect to drive API‑driven automation for customers and partners. You will lead discovery, design integration patterns, and guide technical sellers with scalable API solutions across multiple products.

In this customer‑facing role, you will craft engineering enablement content, mentor teams, and troubleshoot complex scenarios while aligning with security and operational best practices. This position reports to the SWAT Team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/engineering or related field.
10+ years in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, API/integration architecture, or telecom engineering.
Experience translating requirements into clear, supportable designs.
Knowledge of API authentication concepts including OAuth 2.0 and secure secrets.

Responsibilities

Lead API architecture and customer integration discovery with account teams.
Collaborate with tech architects to align API/automation strategies across products.
Engage customers and technical sellers in workshops, demos, and reviews.
Create API enablement resources: design guides, reference architectures, workflows, FAQs.
