Job summary

Middleburg Communities in Florida is seeking a Service Technician to support the Service Manager and Property Manager in maintaining assets, performing general maintenance and grounds work, and handling apartment make-readies and rehab projects to ensure curb appeal and quality of homes.

The role requires clear communication, safe work practices, and alignment with our mission and values. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, inspections, turnovers, inventory, and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in apartment maintenance or related field.
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and life safety equipment.
• HVAC knowledge and certifications preferred (Type I & III or Universal).
• Clear communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections per schedule and policies.
• Assist with apartment turns, renovations, and repairs to meet market-ready standards.
• Manage inventory and document service requests, turnovers and move-out checklists.
• Provide safety-conscious maintenance and respond to on-call emergencies as required.
