Middleburg Communities is seeking a Service Technician to support maintenance and grounds services across our apartment communities. You will assist in apartment make-readies, preventive maintenance, and rehabilitation projects to ensure market-ready homes with excellent curb appeal.

You will report to the Service Manager and Property Manager, communicate safely, and uphold our mission of exemplary service with timely repairs and neighbor-friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance including plumbing, painting, drywall, appliance repair, electrical, doors/locks, carpentry, roofs, and life safety equipment.
• Regulatory and environmental certifications such as lead, asbestos, renovations/repairs.
• HVAC and CFC Type I & III or Universal.
• CPO certification strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years experience in apartment maintenance; or 3+ years in a related field.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills in Windows (mobile device/PC).
• Knowledge of machines, equipment, and tools including ladder, dolly, back belt, goggles, gloves, etc.

Responsabilités

• Perform and document preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Oversee apartment turns and 3–5 day downtime targets for market-ready units.
• Maintain inventory, track service requests, and schedule turnovers.
• Daily property walk for curb appeal, safety, and repairs.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow company safety policies.
• Assist with inventory and supplies; may pick up items as needed.
• Provide on-call coverage and after-hours emergency services.
