Job summary

Middleburg Communities is hiring a Service Technician to support maintenance and grounds services, assist in apartment make-readies, and execute preventive maintenance and rehabilitation projects for market-ready homes.

The role reports to the Service Manager and Property Manager and requires strong communication, safety, and reliability to deliver exemplary service in alignment with our mission and values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance including plumbing, painting, drywall, electrical, life safety equipment.
• HVAC and CFC type I & III or Universal knowledge.
• Lead/asbestos/renovations certifications preferred.
• At least 2 years in apartment maintenance or 3+ years in related field.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document preventative maintenance.
• Respond to resident requests and repairs within 24 hours when possible.
• Oversee apartment turns including renovations and inspections to ensure market-ready condition.
• Maintain inventory and document service requests and work orders.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to safety policies.
• On-call responsibilities with weekend/work-after-hours availability.
