Job summary

IEM in Fremont, CA is seeking an Accounts Payable Shared Services Manager to lead AP operations and transform our finance organization through a scalable shared services model.

You will design end-to-end AP processes, collaborating with operations, procurement, finance, and treasury to drive standardization, efficiency, and talent development. Reporting to the VP Controller, you will manage a remote team across North America and ensure timely month-end close.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, including ERP payables systems and managing others (remote workers preferred).
• Extensive AP operations experience in mid-sized to large manufacturing organizations and end-to-end procure-to-pay processes.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/MRP software (Infor Syteline preferred).
• Knowledge of process improvement, business operations, project management, change management, and automation/technology implementations.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for collaboration and process-improvement events.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and senior-level communication skills to drive change and results.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management of Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) personnel across 3 locations in North America with emphasis on process improvement and development.
• Analyze workflows to identify root causes and justify improvements across procure-to-pay with digital solutions.
• Direct a team to create scalable, efficient procure-to-pay processes.
• Develop and translate strategy into operational goals and roadmaps.
• Ensure AP procedures comply with state and federal regulations.
• Support month-end close through accruals and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely, accurate audits.
