Job summary

Holman, a family-owned global automotive services organization, is seeking a Supervisor of Accounts Payable & Receivable in New Jersey. You will lead day-to-day AP/AR activities, supervise the AP/AR team, ensure timely processing and collections, and provide financial reporting and insights to management.

You will oversee vendor invoices, cash applications, and month-end close, while maintaining internal controls and collaborating with Finance, Sales, and Operations to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting/finance/business admin or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day AP/AR activities, ensure timely processing, collections, cash application and financial reporting.
• Supervise, coach, and develop AP/AR team; set priorities and monitor performance.
• Oversee processing of vendor invoices and payments per policies and terms.
• Monitor customer accounts, lead collections on overdue balances, document accounts.
• Oversee cash applications and resolution of unapplied balances.
• Review AR adjustments, journal entries, reconciliations, lease-billing activity and billing errors.
• Maintain relationships with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders; resolve disputes.
• Complete month-end activities and required AP/AR reporting.
• Prepare and analyze payment, collection, aging, cash data and provide reports to management.
• Maintain internal controls to reduce errors, fraud and non-compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Operations, IT and others to align AP/AR processes.
• Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide supporting documentation.
• Oversee state tax filing and remittance process.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
