Dow Inc. in Orange, Texas is seeking an Analytical Technician to support manufacturing through laboratory analyses and data interpretation. The role emphasizes calibration, maintenance, data evaluation, and adherence to EH&S procedures.

You will perform routine analyses (GC, LC, IR, Melt Index), prepare standards, and troubleshoot instruments. A 12-hour rotating shift with overtime is required; US work authorization is required. Dow offers competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED minimum; bachelor’s degree or military equivalent or 5+ years in chemical lab; associate’s degree or 3+ years military experience as alternatives.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift including weekends, nights, and holidays with overtime.
• Prior plastics lab experience and LIMS familiarity preferred; GC/LC experience preferred; U.S. work authorization required.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine analyses (Melt Index, IR, GC, LC, Titration) and prepare/verify standards.
• Maintain and calibrate instruments; document and archive results.
• Evaluate data validity using basic statistics and interpret results.
• Monitor analytical systems and troubleshoot; escalate non-routine issues.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures and contribute to process improvements.
• Escalate non-routine requests to the appropriate team member.
