Job summary

Dow is seeking an Analytical Technician in Orange, Texas, within Sabine River Operations. The role involves supporting manufacturing through laboratory analyses, sample prep, calibration, and maintenance of instruments to deliver reliable data for quality release.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, familiarity with GC/LC, and ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends. Dow offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with bachelor’s degree or military experience at or above US E5 or Canadian PO2/Sergeant.
• 5+ years in chemical laboratory setting.
• Associate's degree or 3+ years of military experience in a specialty field.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analyses including Melt Index, IR, GC, LC, Titration and Film Extrusion.
• Prepare standards including internal, calibration and check standards.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance of instruments.
• Evaluate validity of data, applying basic statistics, and interpreting results.
• Monitor analytical systems to identify problems and conduct first-line troubleshooting.
• Document, communicate and archive analytical results and calibration data.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures for work tasks.
• Suggest improvements to lab work processes and tools.
• Escalate non-routine requests to appropriate team member.
