Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an Analytical Technician in Orange, Texas to support manufacturing with laboratory analyses and data interpretation. Responsibilities include sample prep, instrument calibration, maintenance, and data evaluation to ensure quality product release.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with GC/LC, and familiarity with LIMS. 12-hour rotating shifts and potential overtime are expected in a plastics lab setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required and one of the following: a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant.
• 5+ years in chemical laboratory setting.
• Associate’s degree or 3+ years of military experience in a specialty field.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analyses such as Melt Index, IR, GC, LC, Titration and related processes.
• Prepare standards including internal, calibration and check standards.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance of instruments.
• Evaluate data, apply basic statistics, and interpret results.
• Monitor analytical systems and troubleshoot, escalating as needed.
• Document and archive analytical results and calibration data.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures in work tasks.
• Suggest improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Escalate non-routine requests for follow-up.
