Job summary

Dow is seeking an Analytical Technician in Orange, Texas within Sabine River Operations to support manufacturing through lab analyses and data evaluation. Responsibilities include calibration, instrument maintenance, and data validation to release quality products.

The role requires a 12-hour rotating shift including weekends and holidays, with potential overtime. Prior lab experience, knowledge of GC/LC and LIMS are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience at or above U.S. E5 or Canadian equivalents.
• 5+ years in a chemical laboratory setting.
• Associate's degree or 3+ years of military experience in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analyses including Melt Index, IR, GC, LC, Titration, Film Extrusion.
• Prepare standards including internal standards, calibration standards, & check standards.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance of instruments.
• Evaluate data validity, apply basic statistics, and interpret results.
• Monitor analytical systems to identify problems and perform first-line troubleshooting.
• Document, communicate and archive analytical results and calibration data.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggest improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Escalate non-routine requests to the appropriate team member.
