Dow Inc. is seeking an Analytical Technician for the Sabine River Operations in Orange, Texas. The role will support manufacturing operations through laboratory analyses, data evaluation, and quality product release using GC, LC, and other analytical methods.

A 12-hour rotating shift including weekends is required. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED with options for further education or military experience, 5+ years in a chemical lab, and experience with LIMS or analytical

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required with options for a bachelor’s degree or military experience at or above a U.S. E5.
• 5+ years in chemical laboratory setting.
• Associate's degree or 3+ years of military experience in a specialty field.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine analyses including Melt Index, IR, GC, LC, Titration, Film Extrusion.
• Prepare standards including internal standards, calibration standards, and check standards.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance of instruments.
• Evaluate validity of data, applying basic statistics, and interpreting results.
• Monitoring analytical systems to identify potential problems and conducting first-line troubleshooting escalating as appropriate.
• Document, communicate and archive analytical results and calibration data.
• Follow Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and ODMS procedures and practices for work tasks.
• Suggest improvements to lab work processes and tools.
• Escalate non-routine requests to appropriate team member for follow-up.
