Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Technical Field Sales Professional to grow analytical instrumentation sales across Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and nearby markets. Based in Western Iowa or the Kansas City area, you will build relationships with key accounts in agribusiness, food and beverage, chemical, power, municipal and refinery sectors.

You will develop account plans, present solutions, and apply strategic pricing while coordinating with customers to deliver measurable value and sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related analytical instrumentation sales for liquid, combustion, flame & gas safety or related industrial technical sales experience.
• 3+ years of related technical sales experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel within territory with occasional overnight stays.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans to identify opportunities and drive demand.
• Present customer-focused solutions addressing challenges and delivering value.
• Apply pricing strategies balancing customer needs with business objectives.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to uncover opportunities.
• Maintain accurate activity, forecast, and account insights in CRM systems.
