Job summary

Emerson, a global automation leader, seeks a Technical Field Sales professional to drive analytical instrumentation sales in the Midwest. Based in Western Iowa or Kansas City, MO, you will manage a large installed base across agribusiness and industrial markets, delivering solutions and growing the business.

This remote field-based role requires the ability to travel within the territory, collaborate with internal teams, and build lasting customer relationships to enable sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of analytical instrumentation sales experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel within territory and occasional travel outside territory for training.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders across assigned accounts.
• Develop and execute account plans to identify opportunities and generate demand.
• Present clear, customer-focused solution recommendations addressing customer challenges.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities from lead to purchase order.
• Collaborate with Business Development Managers, technical specialists, and support teams.
• Apply pricing strategies balancing customer needs with business objectives.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to uncover opportunities.
• Maintain documentation of activities, forecasts, and insights in CRM.
