Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest.

As an Analyst I on the Risk & Analytics team, you will learn the fundamentals of consumer lending while executing scoped analytical tasks on a day-to-day cadence. You will leverage SQL and Python to help optimize business strategies and monitor portfolio performance, under guidance from senior analysts and managers.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in an analytically-driven role in fintech or consumer lending.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with data mining, data visualization, and statistical modeling.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights and support strategy across product, risk, or growth.
• Monitor portfolio health and flag risks and anomalies to seniors.
• Write clean SQL and Python to build scalable reporting.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal and Compliance to translate regulations into data models and policies.
• Support cross-functional discussions to align launches with capabilities and risk appetite.
• Integrate AI tools to accelerate data mining while verifying outputs.
