Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Analyst I to learn consumer lending analytics and contribute to scoped tasks daily. You will work under senior analysts to optimize strategies and monitor portfolio performance, building a strong technical foundation while adapting to market changes and AI tooling.

You will derive insights, monitor health metrics, and implement scalable reporting with collaboration across Product, Legal, and Compliance to meet evolving regulations and business needs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in an analytically-driven role.
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with data mining, data visualization, and foundational statistical modeling.
• Basic understanding of consumer lending regulations and ML applications.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights and support strategy across product, risk, or growth, geographies.
• Monitor portfolio health by tracking performance metrics, user behavior, and macro trends; flag risks.
• Technical execution: write clean SQL and Python to build scalable reporting and support ML/risk model deployment.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate regulations into data models and policies.
• Drive launch alignment to ensure new products and markets fit operational capabilities and risk appetite.
• Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to accelerate data mining while verifying outputs.
