Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Scheduling & Registration Associate for the Ambulatory Surgery Center in Manhasset. You will schedule appointments, liaise with physician offices, answer calls, and pre-register patients, collecting demographics, prescriptions, and insurance information.

You will guide patients through financial responsibilities, ensure accurate documentation to prevent duplicates, and use hospital systems such as Epic, Carestream, and Soarian daily.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong oral and written communication, multitasking, detail orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments using hospital information systems.
• Pre-registers patients and completes the registration process with demographics, prescriptions, and insurance documentation.
• Communicates with patients, referring physician offices, and staff in a helpful, friendly, professional manner.
• Completes check-in and registration upon patient arrival and verifies consent regulations; collects co-pays as per policy.
• Verifies documentation accuracy to avoid duplicate medical record numbers.
