Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital–Long Island in Manhasset is seeking a Scheduling & Registration Associate for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will schedule appointments, liaise with referring physician offices, and manage the pre-registration and registration process to create the first impression of our services.

You will collect demographic and insurance information, explain financial responsibilities to patients, and verify documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong communication, multitasking, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments in Hospital Information Systems and liaises with referring offices.
• Answers and filters phone calls promptly; uses Cyracom when needed.
• Completes pre-registration and registration; collects co-pays and documents information.
• Identifies financial responsibilities and ensures patients understand them.
• Verifies documentation for accuracy (prescriptions, insurance cards, IDs).
