Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a customer service oriented specialist to support patient registration, scheduling, and administrative processes. You will greet patients, screen inquiries, and coordinate with clinicians to ensure smooth patient flow and a positive experience.

Under supervision, you will collect demographics, insurance information, and referrals, enter data into EMR, and assist with room preparation and clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a patient-facing or hospital-administrative role is preferred.
• Ability to screen, route, and triage calls for urgent information.
• Accurate data entry of patient demographics, insurance, and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients and manage patient demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule encounters and coordinate patient flow across providers and departments.
• Answer routine inquiries about hospital policies and procedures; route complex issues to supervisor.
• Process payments, authorizations, and referrals; prepare deposits and maintain accurate records.
• Utilize EMR and office technology to support daily administrative tasks.
