Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, is seeking a Supervisor of Ambulatory Operations for a 40-hour day shift. You will oversee daily clinic operations, staff scheduling, patient registration flow, and revenue-related processes to ensure efficient, high-quality care.

Reporting to the Manager, Ambulatory Operations, you will lead a team of clerical and administrative staff, drive performance improvements, and coordinate with hospital departments to optimize patient access and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of medical administrative office experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate and organize multiple functions.
• Proficient in relevant computer software.

Responsibilities

• Supervises assigned personnel including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training.
• Coordinates tasks and helps resolve technical and operational problems.
• Provides direction and leadership to staff for teamwork and efficiency.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains effective liaison with clinic management and other departments.
