Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Supervisor for the Patient Access Center in Worcester, MA. The role oversees daily PAC operations, staff scheduling, and performance metrics to ensure efficient patient access and satisfaction.

The position requires supervisory experience in healthcare or equivalent scheduling experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with clinics and leadership. A signing bonus may be available, with a standard Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years of supervisory experience in a health care environment required; or 2+ years of experience in scheduling services.
• Ability to manage and coach staff to meet performance standards.
• Experience in coordinating between clinics and departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily activities for the Patient Access Center, including scheduling staff and operating work queues.
• Supervises PAC personnel, conducts onboarding and training, and participates in hiring.
• Serves as PAC liaison with clinics and departments to promote teamwork and process improvement.
• Handles patient scheduling calls from multiple clinics and secures necessary information.
• Position is a working managerial role and may support staff when necessary.
