Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, seeks a Supervisor to manage ambulatory operations. The role oversees patient registration, scheduling, clinic flow, and billing processes to ensure efficient daily operations.

The position requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in medical admin, and strong leadership and communication skills. Reporting to the Manager of Ambulatory Operations, with potential signing bonus and a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of medical administrative office experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to work independently.
• Proficient in relevant computer software.
• Preference for prior supervisory or lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of a medical clinic, including staffing and workflow.
• Oversee patient registration, scheduling, charge capture and physician relations.
• Coordinate with hospital admitting, OR, diagnostic areas and pre-surgical eval.
• Monitor scheduling for quality customer service and process improvements.
• Maximize clinic efficiency and patient flow; monitor payroll in Kronos.
• Maintain inventory, facilities maintenance, and liaison with various departments.
