Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director-Transportation to lead major design-build and P3 projects within the Transportation Business Group.

You will drive project approvals, negotiate terms, and coordinate with HDR Legal, Risk, and regional leads to ensure timely, compliant execution. The role requires 15+ years of engineering experience on large infrastructure programs, a PE license, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Professional registration (PE) in Architecture/Engineering preferred or required for leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for effective pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policies and risk committees.
• Collaborate with HDR Business Group Alternative Delivery Directors and HDR Legal to negotiate terms.
• Coordinate with Transportation Leadership and Regional Leads on client discussions for upcoming projects.
• Foster HDR matrix collaboration across Areas, Regions, Market Sectors and Business Classes.
• Provide strategic input on commercial and technical trends in AD.
• Travel up to 50% of time.
• Lead as Principal-in-Charge on selected projects or contracts.
