Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an experienced Alternative Delivery Director-Transportation to lead pursuit and delivery of major transportation projects across HDR’s Transportation Business Group.

You will drive approvals, coordinate with legal, risk, and regional leads, and foster collaboration across Regions to win and execute complex AD programs. The role requires 15+ years in engineering leadership, PE license, and a deep understanding of design-build/PD/PPP delivery, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 15+ years of professional engineering experience for large transportation infrastructure projects.
• Experience with pursuit and execution of major transportation Alternative Delivery projects.
• Professional registration in Architecture/Engineering (PE) for leadership roles in technical design.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policies and risk approvals.
• Negotiate terms with legal, contracts, and client stakeholders.
• Develop and manage client relationships across multiple states and programs.
• Provide strategic guidance on commercial and technical trends in the AD industry.
