Job summary

David's Bridal seeks an Alterations Customer Service Representative to deliver exceptional service, welcome customers, book and prepare alterations, and assist with daily operations. The role focuses on creating a five-star in-store experience, effective communication, and cross-functional coordination with Alterations.

Responsibilities include managing customer flow, promoting services, maintaining standards, and supporting inventory and checkout tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of retail experience in apparel or specialty store preferred.
• Prior sewing experience is helpful.
• Prior experience with computerized POS system is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers with genuine enthusiasm in person, over the phone, or via virtual chats.
• Uses systems to manage customer flow and deliver a five-star experience.
• Adheres to service vows: Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs & Be There for customers.
• Assists multiple customers at once and addresses concerns confidently.
• Explains how alterations can enhance the dress for events in partnership with Alterations.
• Promotes alterations services and personalization options.
• Maintains store standards and a clean, organized alterations area.
• Goes through fittings with high dress code standards and escorts customers to appointments.
• Performs pressing, steaming, and spot cleaning of merchandise.
• Inspects garments to ensure pristine condition before delivery.
• Builds long-term relationships to improve satisfaction and loyalty.
• Supports inventory tasks and processes transactions accurately at checkout.
