Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Customer Service Representative who delivers an A+ experience by welcoming customers, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting with garment pressing and pickup readiness.

The role reports to the Store Manager and partners with the Alterations team to promote alterations services, maintain store standards, handle transactions accurately, and build lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store.
• Prior sewing experience is helpful.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with enthusiasm in person, over the phone, or via chat; adapt communication to solve issues.
• Use systems to manage customer flow to deliver a five-star experience.
• Meet service vows and complete operational checklist tasks.
• Provide exceptional service to multiple customers; proactively address concerns and escalate when needed.
• Explain how alterations can help perfect the dress for the event in partnership with Alterations.
• Promote alterations services and personalization options.
• Maintain store standards (clean, organized, promotional readiness).
• Maintain high dress code standards as required by policy.
• Greet and escort customers to alterations for appointments.
• Press, steam, and spot clean garments as needed.
• Inspect garments after alterations for pristine condition before delivery.
• Build long-term relationships to exceed satisfaction and loyalty.
• Support inventory by processing special orders, pickups and quality control.
• Process transactions accurately at cash wrap.
• Seek assistance from Alterations Manager for issues you cannot resolve.
• Maintain alterations room clean and organized.
• Perform duties as assigned by store management.
