Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) to deliver A+ customer service across in-store and phone interactions. You will welcome customers, book appointments, assist with pressing and alterations, and ensure orders are ready for pickup.

The role requires friendly communication, the ability to manage multiple customers, and collaboration with the Alterations team to promote services and maintain store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior sewing experience is helpful.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers with genuine enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person, adapting style to suit customers by problem solving.
• Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver five-star customer experience.
• Meet all service vows including Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs & Be There for all customers, including operational tasks.
• Address customer concerns proactively and know when to escalate to Alterations Manager.
• Explain how alterations can enhance the dress for the event in partnership with Alterations.
• Promote all alterations services and personalization options.
• Maintain store standards (clean, organized, promotional readiness, store recovery) for a flawless shopping experience.
• Maintain high dress code standards as required by policy.
• Greet and escort alterations customers to and from appointments for alterations.
• Press, steam, and spot clean all merchandise.
• Inspect garments altered/steamed/pressed to ensure pristine condition before delivery to customer.
• Build long-term relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Support inventory management by processing special orders, pickups and quality standards for all merchandise.
• Assist with cash wrap and process transactions accurately.
• Seek assistance from Alterations Manager to resolve issues.
• Keep alterations room clean and organized.
• Perform duties as assigned by store management.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

1-2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store
