Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Emergency Dispatch Operator (EDO) to monitor and respond to alarms, ensuring swift, accurate notification of authorities and responsible parties. You will participate in a five-week training program to prepare you for the role and develop essential dispatch skills.

Bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish and English are encouraged to apply and will receive additional compensation; the position offers an hourly wage and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Excellent communication skills essential for coordinating with responders and customers.
• Typing speed between 20–25 words per minute is expected.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications is required for alarm-handling and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to alarms and signals while providing customer service.
• Make outgoing calls to verify alarms, dispatch authorities, and notify responsible parties.
• Document alarm handling procedures and complete alarm processing per SOPs.
