HMSHost at JFK IAT is hiring a Manager II to assist branch management in operating complex QSR or casual-dine restaurants. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and runs to high standards, using prescribed policies for decisions.

The role involves opening/closing duties, supervising staff, enforcing AB policies, interviewing, scheduling, and maintaining equipment and safety practices. Reports to GM or Ops Director.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 4 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.

Responsibilities

• Opens, runs daily and closes procedures per company policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within the unit.
• Ensures compliance with all alcohol policies and AB procedures.
• Assists in interviewing and staffing decisions for associates.
• Creates schedules ensuring shifts are covered.
• Monitors mandated breaks and meal periods for staff.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and visually appealing display areas.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Manages cash handling per policies and secures cash at all times.
• Ensures wellness and safety procedures are followed and reports concerns.
• Participates in Health and Safety activities as per policy.
• Places orders, receives goods, processes invoices.
