Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to assist branch management in executing QSR or similar restaurant operations. The role ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high standards.

You will supervise day-to-day activities and help hire, schedule, and maintain safety and wellness guidelines across the unit. The position reports to the GM or Director of Operations, with a varied on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 2 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Requires minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, comprehend instructions and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a defined unit or group of restaurants.
• Participates in hiring input, recommends status changes to the GM, and assists in interviews.
• Assigns tasks, helps prepare schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods.
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Operates cash register and processes transactions following cash handling policies.
• Monitors wellness/safety procedures and reports safety concerns to the GM.
• Performs Health and Safety activities as specified in the health and safety guide.
• Places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices.
• Keeps current contact information for all associates.
