Job summary

Dufry Careers' HMSHost-affiliated restaurant in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a Manager I (MGRI) to support branch management in fast-paced QSR operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, staffed, and ready for business, following company policies to drive high standards.

You will open, run and close shifts, supervise associates, assist in hiring decisions, manage schedules, and uphold safety and cash handling procedures. The role reports to the General Manager or Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents; converse comfortably with customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of associates.
• Assist in interviewing and staffing decisions; recommend promotions or terminations to GM.
• Assign tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure shifts are covered.
• Ensure mandated rest breaks and meal periods are taken; monitor wellness and safety.
