HMSHost at JFK IAT is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support branch management in executing complex QSR or Casual Dine operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high standards, following prescribed policies.

You will open, manage daily activities, supervise associates, conduct hiring decisions, monitor financial data, and ensure safety and compliance while promoting HMSHost as an employer of choice.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• 4+ years supervisory or lead experience in Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures per policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within the unit.
• Performs hiring/ promotion decisions and promotes HMSHost as an employer of choice.
• Reads financial and operational data and monitors progress toward unit goals.
• Ensures compliance with safety, health, and AB procedures.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Maintains customer service quality and resolves basic issues.
