HMSHost is hiring a Cook B at Newark Airport to prepare cooked foods across Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs. You will communicate timing to the manager and servers, ensuring top quality service. This non-exempt role requires food prep skills and HACCP knowledge.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of related cooking experience in a high-volume casual dining setting, with ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience in high-volume casual dining.
• Knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate with customers.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Must adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines including HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions.
• Communicate ticket times and potential issues to the manager on duty.
• Maintain high quality service for customers and associates.
• Operate kitchen equipment and measure, mix, and cook ingredients.
• Stock and rotate products, monitor temperatures and freshness.
