Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet demands of the job.
• Able to read documents, follow instructions, interpret ticketing policies, regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful conditions.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete customer service Agent training with 80% or greater and an assessment period.
• Must be aware of unsafe conditions and be able to handle emergencies as needed.
• Must work under tight time constraints to accomplish quick turns of aircraft.
• Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per ground Operations employee manual and work agreement.
• Must be able to perform all job functions within a confined area.
• Must be able to speak verbally via telephone, face to face and on public address systems.
• Must have strong written and oral skills.
• Must be able to convey information verbally or through radio equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides pleasant service and maintains excellent relationships with all internal and external clients.
• Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our company.
• Responsible for offering legendary customer service to people traveling, checking in, or using baggage services.
• Handles ticketing and check-in via automated POS system, boarding, baggage service, reservations and related issues.
• Greeting customers in a courteous manner and handling transactions such as cash, checks, cards, travel vouchers and coupons.
• Computes prices and balances day-to-day transactions, responsible for variance.
• Processes check-in luggage, answers phone inquiries, assists customers, and resolves problems as needed.
• Handles boarding procedures in a timely and efficient way.
• Addresses mishandled customers due to oversells, delays, or lost/damaged bags and resolves issues per policy.
• Provides current fare, schedule, reservations, and responds to general inquiries from customers and visitors.
• Completes paperwork and reports as required.
• Duties may vary by station size and business.
• Must meet physical requirements listed in the description.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
