Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies unit seeks a Business Development Engineer for US Air Force programs. Bridge radio frequency capabilities with Air Force requirements, support demonstrations across airborne and expeditionary networks, and coordinate with engineering and business development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Network Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Alternative: High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communication systems is preferred.
• Ability to obtain Government SECRET clearance within 15 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to verify architectures with benchmarking data.
• Align work with Business Development priorities and strategic roadmaps.
• Deliver technical demonstrations for airborne, edge, and expeditionary networks.
• Perform market research on potential industry integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with Air Force program offices and AFRL to translate field feedback into roadmaps.
• Travel up to 50% and support remote collaboration as needed.
