Motorola Solutions, including its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, is seeking a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with US Air Force requirements, supporting field tests, demonstrations, and system demonstrations across airborne and expeditionary networks. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Citizen due to clients under U. Basic understanding of Department of the Air Force tactical procurement pathways (DAF PEO C3BM, PEO C3I&N, AFLCMC, AFRL), network modernization priorities (DAF Battle Network, ACE, ABMS), or Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) / uncrewed systems integration.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
• Outdoor environment for large-scale field trials and tactical demonstrations.
• Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in rugged field environments.
• Lift equipment up to 50 lbs. for the set‑up of complex tactical network demonstrations and testing.

Responsabilidades

• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live‑on‑the‑air execution of field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to leverage continuous testing and competitive benchmarking data, helping verify that proposed solution architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain close alignment with the Business Development team to support their ongoing technical needs and align work with established strategic priorities.
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations tailored to airborne, tactical edge, and expeditionary airbase networking needs.
• Perform market research to identify potential integrations with industry partners and test end‑to‑end network architectures.
• Assist Business Development in engaging with technical stakeholders across Department of the Air Force Program Executive Offices (DAF PEO C3BM, PEO C3I&N), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), and Tactical Operations Center-Light (TOC‑L) leads.
• Serve as an internal voice for the Airman by gathering field feedback and operational requirements, helping translate them into product roadmap inputs, and tracking engineering progress against operational needs.
