Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Air Force requirements. You will assist in field trials, demonstrations, and technical planning, traveling up to 50% to customer sites and labs.

The role requires a 2–5 year background in systems engineering or defense tech, with SDRs, TCP/IP, Linux, Python, and C++ experience. A SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field; 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Citizen due to clients under U.S. contracting requirements.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux, or scripting languages (Python, C++) for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical capabilities and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across airborne and field environments.
• Support planning, network configuration, and field trials; function as liaison between engineering and business development.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs and assist in technical demonstrations for stakeholders.
